Corcovado One Day Tour (El Tigre)
Hike the most recently opened entrance to Corcovado National Park, Dos Brazos de Río Tigre. Visit the primary forest and some of the greatest views of the Golfo Dulce.

Dos Brazos de Río Tigre is a small town completely immerse in the forest. This place has a long history of gold-digging and hunting, but, thanks to ecotourism and community efforts, its inhabitants see a promising future. By visiting El Tigre you will support a local association with a direct impact on the community.
The hike begins in the town's communal center, right next to the school. You hike a total of 8 Km through primary forest and very irregular terrain. This is a tough hike recommended for experienced hikers.
The treat during this hike is a look-out point where you can enjoy the spectacular view of the Golfo Dulce.
This tour begins and ends in Dos Brazos (El Tigre).
Things to bring: Minimum 1-2 liters of water per person, sunscreen, insect repellent, hiking shoes (protected, comfortable and preferably waterproof), sandals, light and quick dry clothes, hat or cap, handkerchief, swimsuit, snacks, camera, binoculars (optional) and sunglasses (optional)

(do not bring single-use-plastic items into the park as they are forbidden. You must bring your own reusable bottle of water)
- Day 1 El Tigre Trail Hiking
6:00-7:00 a.m. Meet with the guide at the bamboo building in Dos Brazos de Rio Tigre.*
7:30 a.m. Start hiking up the "Rompe Pechos"
10:00 a.m. Arrival to the look-out
11:30 a.m. Lunch break (not included)
12:30-2:30 p.m. Arrival at El Tigre. End of the tour.
* You can choose at what time you prefer to start your tour.
